WrapLab  /  How it works

See your car in any wrap, tint, or finish — before anyone touches it

WrapLab is an AI-powered car wrap visualizer connected to a vetted network of professional installers. Tell us your year, make, and model, pick from 2,000+ real wrap colors and finishes, and get a photoreal preview in under two minutes — then send the design to a trusted shop for a quote.

From idea to installer in four steps

No showroom guesswork, no paying for a sample panel, no waiting weeks to see what your car will actually look like. WrapLab compresses the visualization-to-quote loop into a single sitting.

01

Tell us your car

Type the year, make, and model — WrapLab generates a clean studio render of your exact vehicle as the starting canvas. No photos to dig up, no awkward driveway shots, no lighting to fix.

  • Year / make / model is all you need
  • Studio-grade render generated automatically
  • Works on cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans

02

Pick your look

Browse real swatch books from the wrap and PPF brands shops actually install — 3M 2080, Avery Supreme, Inozetek, TeckWrap, KPMF / Aura Vinyl, SVG INNO+, Pure PPF, NeoPPF, and more. Stack a wrap color with a window tint level and a wheel powder coat to see the full build, not one piece at a time.

  • Vinyl wraps — gloss, satin, matte, chrome, color-shift, textured
  • Window tint — light, medium, dark, limo
  • Wheel powder coat — solid, metallic, candy
  • Color paint protection film (PPF) for protection + color in one
03

See it for real

Our AI generates a photoreal preview in under two minutes. Lighting, reflections, shadows, and finish behavior are baked into the render, not pasted on as a flat overlay — that's the difference between a wrap visualizer that looks like a wrap and one that looks like a sticker.

  • Front, side, and rear angles in one batch
  • Side-by-side compare with the original render
  • Save and share the design via a public link

04

Get quotes from trusted shops

Send your saved design straight to a vetted local installer. Shops respond with a quote, a timeline, and material recommendations — and because they can see exactly what you picked, you skip the back-and-forth about whether you meant gloss or satin.

  • Quotes are free and non-binding
  • Every partner shop is reviewed for install quality
  • Compare multiple quotes from shops in your area

What you can visualize

WrapLab covers the four services that account for nearly every aesthetic upgrade a wrap shop sells — and it can layer them so you see the whole build at once, not piece by piece.

W

Vinyl wraps

Full and partial wraps in gloss, satin, matte, chrome, color-shift, and textured finishes from 3M, Avery, Inozetek, TeckWrap, and more.

T

Window tint

Front, rear, and full-window tint at standard VLT levels — see exactly how dark "20%" reads against your paint color.

P

Wheel powder coat

Solid, metallic, and candy powder finishes on the wheels you actually have. Pair with a wrap color to plan the whole build.

F

Color PPF

Color paint protection film — Pure PPF, NeoPPF, SVG INNO+, UPPF, Vinyl Frog — for color change with rock-chip protection.

Every major brand, every finish

WrapLab ships with full color libraries from the brands professional installers actually carry. Over 2,000 wrap and color PPF colors total — sourced from manufacturer swatch books and updated as the lineups change.

A vetted network of installers

Every WrapLab partner shop has been reviewed for install quality, follow-through, and the brands they carry. They get a branded WrapLab visualizer for their customers — you get a direct line to a shop that takes the work seriously.

Why WrapLab beats swatch books and Photoshop mockups

A 3-inch swatch sample on a fluorescent-lit shop counter doesn't tell you what your car will look like in your driveway at 5pm. A flat color overlay in Photoshop doesn't either. WrapLab is built specifically to close that gap.

The old way

Swatch books & flat mockups
  • 3-inch sample under shop lighting — no read on how the color reads on a full panel
  • Color overlays that look pasted on, no real lighting or reflections
  • Pay for a sample wrap of a single panel before committing
  • Days of email back-and-forth describing the look you want
  • No way to compare wrap + tint + wheels as a single build
  • Hard to share the look with friends, your partner, or a second-opinion shop

WrapLab

AI photoreal previews
  • Your exact year, make, and model — rendered in the wrap you're considering
  • Lighting, reflections, and finish behavior baked into the render
  • Free unlimited previews — no need to pay for a test panel
  • Generated in under two minutes per design
  • Stack wrap + tint + powder + PPF to see the full build
  • Shareable link sends the exact design to your installer

Common questions

Everything car owners ask before booking a wrap. If something isn't covered here, the partner shop you pick can answer it on the quote call.

How accurate is WrapLab's AI car wrap preview?
WrapLab's previews are photoreal — generated from a matched studio render of your exact year, make, and model using color and finish data sourced directly from manufacturer swatch books. Real-world results depend on lighting, paint condition, and installer technique, but the AI preview is the closest you can get to the final result without committing to a wrap.
How much does a car wrap cost?
A full vehicle wrap typically costs $3,500 to $8,000 in the United States, depending on the vehicle size, the wrap brand, the finish (chrome and color-shift cost more than gloss or satin), and the shop's labor rate. Partial wraps, color PPF, and accent pieces cost less. Quotes from WrapLab partner shops are free.
How long does a vinyl car wrap last?
A high-quality vinyl wrap lasts 5 to 7 years on average, sometimes longer with garage parking and routine washing. Premium films like 3M 2080, Avery Supreme, and Inozetek carry warranties in the 3 to 7 year range. Sun exposure, heat, and harsh chemicals shorten lifespan.
Will a car wrap damage my paint?
A wrap will not damage healthy factory paint. Vinyl wraps are designed to be removable, and a clean removal by a professional installer leaves the original paint intact. Wraps installed over chipped, peeling, or repainted panels can pull paint on removal — a good shop will inspect first and tell you.
What's the difference between a vinyl wrap and color PPF?
Vinyl wrap is a thinner film designed primarily for color and finish change. Color paint protection film (PPF) — like Pure PPF, NeoPPF, and SVG INNO+ — is a thicker, self-healing urethane that changes color while also protecting against rock chips and scratches. Color PPF costs more but lasts longer and protects the underlying paint.
Can I wrap only part of my car?
Yes. Partial wraps — roof, hood, mirrors, accents, racing stripes — are common and cost a fraction of a full wrap. WrapLab's visualizer can preview accent-only changes alongside full-vehicle color changes.
How long does a wrap installation take?
A professional full wrap takes 3 to 5 days, including disassembly of trim and badges, deep cleaning, application, post-heating, and reassembly. Color PPF installations take longer due to the thicker material. Same-day partial wraps and accent pieces are common.
Which wrap brands does WrapLab support?
WrapLab's visualizer ships with full color libraries from 3M (2080), Avery Dennison (Supreme SW900), Inozetek, TeckWrap, KPMF / Aura Vinyl, SVG INNO+, CheetahWrap, and color PPF brands including Pure PPF, NeoPPF, UPPF Cobia, and Vinyl Frog CPPF — over 2,000 colors and finishes total.
Is WrapLab free to use?
Yes. Browsing colors, generating previews, and requesting quotes from partner shops is free for car owners. Wrap shops pay to license WrapLab as a branded visualizer for their own customers.
How do I find a trusted wrap shop near me?
Browse the WrapLab partner directory — every shop in the network with services, supported brands, location, and a direct link to send your design. Every WrapLab partner is reviewed for install quality and follow-through.
